NHL Playoff Pool Rules

Duration

The NHL Playoff Pool spans the entire NHL playoff season, starting with the first game of the playoffs and ending with the last game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Team Format

There is no draft. Simply select your roster as described below:

Each team will consist of twelve (12) NHL players:
  • 2 Centers (C)
  • 2 Left Wings (LW)
  • 2 Right Wings (RW)
  • 4 Defensemen (D)
  • 2 Goalies (G)
Important Rule: Each team will choose twelve (12) players from any of the 16 NHL playoff teams but ONLY ONE PLAYER PER TEAM.
Entry Deadline

All rosters must be submitted by the start of the first game of the NHL playoffs. No further roster adjustments will be allowed even for players whose games start at a later time.

This will be your roster for the duration of the playoffs. There will not be any changes, substitutions, or free-agent pickups for any reason once rosters are locked at the start of the NHL playoffs. As NHL teams get knocked out of the playoffs, so will your players, so draft your team accordingly.
